Not all new wood floors are created equal and we make no apologies for the fact that we regard our handmade floors as a cut above the rest. We’ve taken the skills and expertise we’ve acquired restoring antique floors and applied them to producing exceptional new wood floors – using only the finest quality wood.
It can take up to twelve stages to produce each handmade floor and as well as a choice of tone, texture, grain and detail and finish, we spend time on the smallest details because we know these are what set our floors apart. These are the heirloom floors of the future, for all project requirements.
Centuries old wood restored and rejuvenated. Our unrivalled skills have been refined over 30 years. Each floor is polished 10 times before installation. Commission classic floorboards or more intricate parquetry and panels. For period restoration or contemporary projects.
Original nail holed, painted Pine floorboards aged to a deep patina; weathered Oaks; Java boat wood; oiled, blackened and rusty bourbon casks. Specify as creative accents or impact floors and walls.
A tribute to the ancient Japanese art of Shou Sugi Ban – preserving decorative wood. Antique Elm & Baltic Oak are used to create these silvered surfaces. Commission in planks, geometric squares or complex circular designs. A striking interior element.
Each with their own history. Georgian Jarrah reclaimed from Kings Cross potato warehouse. 500 year old Seaforth Pitch Pine reclaimed from Liverpool’s Victorian Docklands. Every piece of wood filled with character and story.
Introduce strong architecture elements using the finest new wood. Add personality with our circular designs. End grains burnished to a leathered texture. Undulating Chevrons with a rich heritage. Herringbones with a beautiful aged feel. Classic panel designs. Handmade at our workshops in Cheshire.
Specialist textures. From the subtle unfinished and raw feel of Otis, with no bevels and a beautiful open grain, to the exquisite tones of Tolland, bleached and washed to perfection. Editions is the edit of handcrafting skills. Wide and long planks in Douglas Fir, Larch, Oak and Walnut.
Superfine planks that live in harmony with sophisticated interiors. These floors are unrivalled: super long, super wide, super prime and superfine. Long and wide boards mean fewer visible seams. They have a zen aesthetic. 22 tonal options with technical durability.
Hewn from Plancher boards from the Quercy region of France. Random saw marks, worn edges, undulating textures and raised knots. Dry aged feel of our naked skin lacquer or the rich burnished hardwax oil. Crafted by hand at workshops in Cheshire.
A fun vibe. Random sawn texture and soft rolled edges. Naked skin lacquer gives super high durability, but with a dry, super matt feel. Chevrons, herringbone or planks. Go skinny with an 80mm wide floor, for a retro feel. Or be creative with multi tonal herringbone.
Designed to work effortlessly in large spaces. Vast plank widths, matched by massive lengths. Large scale Herringbone parquet. Finished across mid, light and dark tones to suit your project.
