This modern barn conversion with expansive views of the Cheshire countryside combines exposed beams with modern design features for a sophisticated and truly ‘English’ feel.
Northbank, one of our recent Rare Finds, was specified throughout the home, seamlessly flowing from room to room, balancing the large space.
These wide, long planks were reclaimed from a warehouse on the banks of the River Mersey, where they were being used as beams. We brought the beams back to our restoration centre in Cheshire, where our artisans transformed the beams into a wide plank engineered floor. The boards were brushed and finished with naked skin lacquer to ensure there was no colour change to the pale, elevated grain.
Claremont, from our Bold Surfaces portfolio, was used on the ceilings. Painted and then worn down by hand to show its unique saw marks, it gives a minimalistic, modern aesthetic that complements the pale grey walls.
Our artisans also handcrafted a bespoke sliding door. Painted a bright orange-red, it is a modern and eye catching entrance to the master bedroom.
