This Grade II listed Georgian manor lies in the heart of Lindley, Huddersfield. The former residence of a Victorian Mill owner then more recently a children’s home was discovered following a chance encounter 5 years ago by entrepreneur Sara Presley. Working in partnership with her husband, the couple undertook a visionary £5 million renovation and restoration of Manor House which to date, has been awarded 5 Gold* by The AA and was also the Winner of 2018 Northern Design Awards ‘Hotel Interior Design’.
It’s clear to see why. With stunning decor throughout, the opulent interior design challenges ‘established concepts and singlehandedly injecting glamour into Lindley’. The venue boasts a restaurant, three bars, a roof terrace, a bistro, a gym, and a wedding and events space plus ten sumptuously appointed bedrooms and one luxury apartment.
Ted Todd and Woodworks by Ted Todd floors were used throughout the hotel to enhance the heritage feel of the building. From the warm textures of Husk from our Warehouse collection to Caramel 15mm planks from our Project collection and Chantilly prime grade 740mm x 740mm panels. The piece de resistance though has to be the Woodworks by Ted Todd Jacobin oak parquet de Versailles panels, used to stunning effect in the events space. Laid on the diagonal in nature grade oak to create a more informal look, Parquet de Versailles is a handmade floor, lovingly crafted by our dedicated team of skilled carpenters and craftsmen. Parquet De Versailles is also available as a fumed, brushed and oiled solid board.
Manor House is a venue that ‘refuses to be defined by words, rather by feelings’, and we feel they chose the perfect floor to complement their project.
