New multi-surface wood for 2019
The latter part of 2019 was dedicated to the development of our new products, crafting multi-surface cladding from new and reclaimed wood for commercial projects.
Whilst wood wall cladding used to be synonymous with the orange-hued pine paneling of the 1970s, this couldn’t be further from the truth today. Wall cladding available today is as varied as the projects they feature in. Ranging from rich, deep tones to weathered, whitewashed panels and an abundance of texture. Wall paneling certainly adds warmth to interior projects.
In January we added nine new cladding options to our Bold Surfaces collection, four of which have been crafted from the finest European Oak using 100mm solid planks that have been aged using saw marks, giving them a refined industrial look.
Five further options are crafted from genuine reclaimed pine, all of which show the characteristics of reclaimed wood so pleasingly: knots, nail holes from its past life, and wonderful grain patterns so characteristic of this species. There are a variety of tones to choose from, from Thread’s dulcet hues to the bright, honeyed tones of Capitol.
These 13mm thick solid planks have a hand rolled square edge, for a consistent yet not too uniform look, and are available in random widths and lengths.
All of our new Bold Surfaces are suitable for floors, ceilings and walls and have been crafted by hand at our workshop in Cheshire.
